Todays 2hr dig in a local park/fill site. Use to be a location where they would pour all the dredged material from the inlet. Now is a park.
I dig a ton of these old school pull tabs and beer cans from the 60's-70's. They are everywhere from 4" to 12" down.
I have pulled two wheaties out of this site as well. There is a ton of trash but I have been only hit this place twice. It's kinda hidden out of the way.
Thinking/Hoping there might be some silver in there somewhere due to the population of old cans. I'm yet to pull a silver out yet though but staying hopeful!
What do you guys think? Is a high population of these old pull tabs and old beer cans an idicator of old silver below?
Wondering also if the cans are so deep, is it possible my Bounty Hunter isn't reaching silver if it's there????

Note: i threw away all the old cans i dug, there were just sooooo many! EXC_dig4_9_14.jpg

Hey Man....Stay with it..you never know what you will find there. As for the pulltabs, I remember seeing them in the 80s too....those things have been around for along time

If you are finding wheaties, you are in the right place. I found my first wheaties, in the same place I found my first silver coins. Keep hitting it. HH and GL.

Here they use to burn the trash and use the clean out from the furnaces for fill, so there's a lot of iron and debris. When they replaced the sidewalks, among all the metal trash I found my first LC and Barber dime. So keep looking.
