We couldn't pass up a day like today to get out and try some relic hunting, Me, Randy, David, and Larry met up this morning with some high hopes of finding some great finds, we may have not hit the mother load, but we did have a good time, I'm posting all my finds this time, with the exception of a couple of horse shoes, the best finds for me had to be the bullets, a couple of 3 ringers, and several round pistol balls, a couple of pieces of iron, niether of which can I figure out, I'm not sure which is more frustrating, the shotgun brass, or the 22 brass, the shotgun blows your ears off, the 22's give a nice "deep" tone, just enough to get you excited, then that 9" bullet signal turns into a 1 inch casing :'(, overall we had a good time, probally the hardest I have hunted in a while, and I'm feeling it. Hope everyone had great weather to go dig in.
One last thing, the obeject nest to my bullets appears to be a lead pencil, but Ive never seen one like it, can anyone give me a time line for something like that, it was pretty deep.

Nice Finds Guy!! You guys had a great day to hunt. Dman made his first relic hunting trip since surgery and all went well. We'll post later. The pencil is a mystery. HH, Quindy.

Enjoyed the hunt as well Guy. I am wore out. At least we are getting our exercise for the DIV hunt next month.

Thats great news, and just in time for some good weather, Yeah Randy, days like today I realize how outta shape I'm in lol

Well done TNR.

I agree with Joe on the iron piece. I have a similar one from the Bentonville Battlefield.
