Me and my Buddy Treasurehound went out to our ususal spot today, this area is large and it seems everytime we find a spot, everything is concentrated together, I suppose just campsites we are lucky to find, always camp lead in them it seems, I went back to the spot I had dug the pict. frame the other day and dug another bullet and alot of melted lead in the same spot, within a 3 yard circle, I kept getting a null on the Etrac in one spot, no beeb, just a null, but a large null, anywhere else I wouldve let it go, but being within a yard of the lead, and this area is very clean of trash, well besides early shotgun hulls, just ask Randy about that , I decided to dig, after digging around a large downed cedar tree for a little bit, I noticed what appeared to be a rock under it, so of course what do you do to remove rocks, I took my trusty shovel and wacked it, and very quick I could tell that was no rock sound, after a bit of prying, I managed to pull it out, it appears to be a iron cap gun, it has writing on grip, and is VERY heavy for a toy, maybe some of you have seen one of these and can tell me more about it. I did manage to pull the small key from the same area, and a larger key, some bullets, and the cuff button about 100 yards away at another camp site, I can't say enough for me Etrac, and anyone that has one, if your hunting a clean site, try the smooth option for sound, you might get a beeb in normal, but it will blow your ears out with smooth, great for relics.
