First post newbie so not too confident.
Found in situ 2ft. Of water creek find.
looks like a flake axe that has been worked but not sure.
fits in the hand with nice grip carved in.
Sharp as daylights!
Doesn't look too hard ro replicate so any comments are welcome.

Interesting find. Not sure.
 

It does not look like it's been worked into shape by native Americans, or the right material to me.

The majority of axes, celts, adzes are made from granite or greenstone. Some are made from hematite and other miscellaneous igneous stone.

I can't tell the material in the image, but it looks like a dense sandstone or other sedimentary stone.

Keep looking. You're on track.
