Today's brooch find

My partner, Cliff Flynn, and I searched a spot where a house once stood in the late 1800's. I found a lipstick tube with the gold plating still on it, some junk, and a nice brooch. It still had the gold gilt on it along with 2 stones. The cameo in the center is transparent.

Very nice.

Nice! Is the figure higher than the stone or carved into it? If higher, then it's a cameo and if it's carved into the stone, then it's called an intaglio (silent g).
