Todays bottle, and It's a nice one!

I went to see about a job today, but unfortunately got there a few minutes too late to meet the lady I needed to see. So on my way home I stopped by the lot where huge amounts of fill dirt have been dumped over the past few months. This lot has given up quite a few bottles, and I noticed some new grading there so I figured it'd be a good time to have a look.

About two minutes in I spied this one on edge in the mud with the lettering showing. I just knew it was going to be broken, but to my surprise it came out in one piece! It's a "Consumers Soda and Mineral Water Limited New Orleans" I'm trying to find a match to date it, but no luck so far. I can find a few similar ones online, but the embossing is different than the one I have.

Well it's early yet so I might just head back and look some more......

Finding that bottle would make my day! Yeah, I'd go back and hunt for more. Good luck!!

purrrttttyyyyyy me likes,,,sorry bout job

She is a beauty!!

Sweet !!!! Congrats !!!,,,,,,, But always remember,,,,The worst day huntin for bottles is better than the best day at work 8-)

I have had days like that! But on a good note... That is definately a "keeper" of bottle. Its hard to find forgiving enough ground around these parts that would able to give-up an intact bottle like that!

Keep it Up!

Is that a torpedo bottle, can't tell from the bottom

No, it's a flat bottom.

Thanks all, My girlfriend and I went back to the site, but didn't find anything else. I did find a broken cobalt medicine, :BangHead: and some bits of pottery, but nothing worth bringing home, and as a bonus, I went back down to the Quarter and got the work I was after. It's an occasional thing at an antique shop, but he's got a lot of really nice bottles in there so I hopefully will have a nice discount to help my collection grow.
