Today's 34 Washington + 2 night's ago a Vinnie Barberino..wooo hoo (part III)

Some of you know about the place Mark G and I have been hunting....I posted pics of Mark's great finds...and my Ben FFFFranklin....Well we decided to head across the street which is over a creek..........well two night's ago we did a little night hunting and pretty much off the bat I pulled the Barber 1916-D and my head light was a dancin ....Mark said his buddy Jeff who owns the homestead back across the creek said we looked like a couple loonies with the beams from the headlights going every which way.....the led technology is awesome....well I also pulled these wheaties: 1917..1919...1920...1929...1936...1944-s....and 1946.......................................
Today I went back ...it was 27 degrees and warm and on my 10-12th sweep I got a nice target sound and out popped the 34 Washington............
The other thingy in the pic to the left of the silver is dated Aug.21st,1912.........................
we will probably go back there..................lol......lol.....aloha
you know any of you are welcome to come hunt with us.........centrally located 65 minutes from 4 major airports

Nice stuff. Looks like a good spot to hunt. If you can find stuff in the dark. Who know's what could turn up in the day.

Sounds like a great time...and great finds! ?I feel like buying a plane ticket.

The "thingy" looks like two R's, one backward, one forward. ?Was there a railroad near there, or maybe it's someone's initials...

wow Beep you hit a nail on the head....there is a railroad line that goes right over the creek and around where we are hunting ..its no longer there just a gravelly path....we also know from talking to local folks that there was a ball field right in the vicinity of the creek. We hope our recent finds are swimming hole finds....and our next strategic searching will hopefully help us determine where the ball field was. There is one stone wall nearby but it doesn't add up to a house in our minds yet ......
Your railroad thing though will help me in iding this relic. thanks johny mc.

27 degrees, huh? A little cold but it sounds like a good time. I'm game for a hunt so I just might drive down.

What part of PA are you in? I travel to the Pittsburgh area about once a month to see the family. I wouldn't mind doing some hunting with some folks from here. Let me know.

jmginmd- if you're heading towards pittsburg you're going in the wrong direction for getting to Bethlehem....its an hour north of philly.....straight up 95N to the blue route 476 to the northeast extension of the pa turnpike...its a lovely drive and you'll see about 350 places you'd love to detect.......and people say there's no where to detect..........I know getting permission is right....some times I just wait til I've detected awhile before I ask...lol ....lol .....................aloha......

Johny - It might be in the wrong direction when I go to Pittsburgh but it doesn't sound that far from where I live. I am straight down 95 in Northern Virginia. If you are sure about sharing that spot or others, I would be willing to make a trip when the weather is nice. I have driven further for less reasons. Let me know and thanks for the offer.
