i went metal detecting for the first time today!

didnt find much, but went with a friend using his garrett ace 150 (im buying the same by cuincidence ibn 2 days)

did it for about 4 hours but didnt find much (he let me do all the work so i can get some practise in)
dug up...

about 10 cans

6 modern day coins
-2 10 p's
-2 2p's
-2 1p's (lost 1 lol)

some sort of motor bike part

a button (i think)

and 2 can pull back thingys

oh and found a gold ball O_o


quite alot of people stoped to talk to us, and one person told us where two german mines had been droped only about 300 meters away from where we were searching so we will be going back to look for shrapnal at weekend maybe

all in all i rather enjoyed it (Y)

ma own metal detecter should be here by sunday, ma n ma mate gonna do a solid day of detecting on the medows near us

ive been going down the mewdows since i was 12, almost 4 years now, i havent seen anybody ever metal detecting, also ive seen no evidence (holes etc)

ma dad used 2 go there aswell when he was my age


...that means theres atleast 30 years of free stuff to dig up
