Two o'clock this morning, Floyd Jones, a personal friend of mine of more than 20 years passed away from heart disease. :'( I met Floyd while working at Walt Disney World and helped him gain knowledge with a metal detector. Later he joined the Florida Marine, Historical and Archaeological Society as a member. He loved digging in the Florida soil for the Indian artifacts that could be found throughout Central Florida. He amassed a huge collections of various points and spear heads. Floyd became very knowledgeable of most any Indian artifact or fossil. Floyd learned how to knap his own points using the same tools the prehistoric Indians used. Floyd retired from Disney in 1993 at the age of 55. His father and grandfather died at that age from heart disease. Floyd underwent open heart surgery that gave him 17 more years to pursue his hobby. Victoria and I will miss his company and fellowship. Floyd Jones was a resident of Plymouth, Florida and a Viet Nam Special Forces veteran. 1938 - July 12, 2010. RIP, my friend. :'(

Sorry to hear you lost such a good friend......Worst part about getting older is losing friends.... :'(

Sorry for your loss. Tough to loose a friend but the memory's and good times will always be with you. I also bury a friend tomorrow. This journey is short so travel it well. :hello:

Yes, sorry to hear of your loss. I know of a lot of people in the central Florida area that are associated with other forums and will pass the word. He deserves the attention of the people who knew and respected him.

May he RIP for God knows he spent his time in Hell.
Welcome Home Brother
