today wasn't a big day

today was a small day

no big coppers, no big silver, no big relics, no big .......anythings

hit some of our old sites again and walked a couple of different fields with IP, the finds were there, just not anything of any size, at least for me

everything was pretty tiny compared to one another
none of the thirty or so buttons were larger than a dime! the buckle was minute, the child's thimble was cute, and the wheatie was the only and biggest coin of the day for me (way to go Abe!)

next time we'll go big or go home!
nah! we will tough it out and take whatever comes our way

Sure did find a lot of buttons. I'd rather dig those old buttons than clad any day of the week.

Was a big day for me! Big detector problem. :(

I might get a hold of my 250 for a short one sometime next week, but still have to think on it. I'm about 50-50 whether I pack it in.

Well that's a lot of targets, any one of which could have been the BIG one.
The two pronged buckle is cool.
You guys sure find a ton of buttons.

That is a nice haul of buttons! Why are there so many at that site? H Digs!

That was over two sites, but your guess is as good as mine why so many were small. We've hunted both sites in the past, and no doubt detected buttons in our finds, but to find just small ones this this time does make one think though. Other finds (junk) were just small little bits too, just dumb luck I guess. If you call it lucky

Wow a bad day. My day consisted of foil and a old beat up screen door lock. I've never found a button or a thimble. To me you had a good day.

I think that your expectations are a little higher than mine. I would have called your day a success. Anytime you get a button signal it could be almost anything. The fact that you are still getting that many good digable signals is a good sign in my book. Just can't hit a home run every time out. Better luck next time.

Nice finds Ironhorse, is East Dirtyville just south of Mudflats?

never said it was bad

the potential for something awesome was and is still there, today just was the day for it

if a new site comes our way , believe me , bad days will not be part of my post

Those are still good finds. Some of us don't have some of those items. A TH'er give up and go home? Doubt it! It's in the blood, and your detector would drag you back and make you search! Lol!

Here I been sayin that every time I put the coil to the soil! Ever been to His Museum in KeyWest?

Been to Florida, but not that far south, looking back, I can say that his exploits have been inspiration for me earlier in life to become a treasure hunter, perhaps like many others here too
some day I'll get there to see the museum, and have my mind blown
