Hey all, today was one of those days where clad just wasnt gonna cut it. Its about a million and a half degrees so i figured if i was gonna head out, it was gonna be for some goods. Did a little door knocking and got a no, and a maybe (the one rented off his sister and hes gonna ask) he sounded interested too. So I spotted a old cape cod style home and a knocking i went. A younger guy answered and immediately he said without hesitation and i'll quote " he_ _ yeah!, have at it brother" I started in the small front yard and had my atpro in pro mode/zero w/ iron out at 40. The atpro was screaming from the getgo, alot of deeper clad and my 4th target was the 50 Roosie!!:headbang:, I also pulled the matchbox car in the pic below at about 8-9" and its a 1975?? im guessing a kid buried it at some point. I snatched about 6-7 wheats out of the small front yard and moved around to the back yard, same as the front yard, targets EVERYWHERE!! I pulled another boatload of wheats from the back too, which totaled 21 wheats on the day!, along with a bunch of old clad which was in the 2-5 inch range. I figured w/ that much wheats there absolutely has to be more silver there and low and behold there was a 1938 washington quarter!! Its about time I dug a silver quarter, it felt like forever since i dug my last one last season! Also managed this small copper ring thats chrome plated and the two tootsies you see in the pics. The best part of this whole day is i only covered about 10 percent of the huge back yard, and out of curiousity i spot checked all 4 corners of the yard and got some clad and wheats from almost each section so this site looks seriously promising! The homeowner said to come back whenever i want, at any time so you best believe Im going back soon! sorry about the book I wrote, but a day like this was long overdue for me!! Thanks for looking & reading my novel & HH!! field.jpgIMG01212-20130625-2118.jpgIMG01213-20130625-2140.jpgclose.jpg

Great finds. I remember having that same red matchbox car when I was a kid.

Yeah man! Way to go! Sometimes, clad is just not enough. One has to pull out some stops and say, it's time!

Great hunt! Hope there's much more for ya!

HH!

Awesome story and awesome finds! It's great to have a big yard you can keep going back to, work it slow and patiently to ensure you get it all. Perfect!
