Today, on a public school lawn, I went clad fishing. I caught a whale. (Actually a whale tail bracelet fashioned from a vintage plated spoon!) Which begs the question..."Is this an old piece that was still plated when made, and ended up in the field before the 10-year-old school was built here?"

I also dug three pieces of sterling silver jewelry. Additionally, I dug three more kiddie rings. And, I dug a whole bunch of widgets. But, I only found a little bit of clad!

All from a public lawn that has not, historically, produced many goodies. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Had to wash everything I was wearing due to drizzly rain and muddy soil. It was worth it! Get out and dig if you can. Cheers, Sub 8-)

A very cool, marked sterling pendant with an interesting stone. (The small accompaniments were in the same plug)

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice finds.:icon_thumright:

Orc the no eyed whale and a white one at that. Throw it back lol

Update: I was advised by a lady quite knowledgeable in jewelry that the tableware pattern was from 1941, and the bracelet was probably fashioned no sooner than the early 1970's, when spoon jewelry arrived on scene and became popular. I love this hobby because I learn something new every day! Sub 8-)

Im still looking for some spoon jewelry they made some awesome silver rings too. Good job on some nice relics my friend and always good to learn something new.
