hi everyone ,a.p sent me one of his MIGHTY A.P DIGGING TOOLS and i got it in the post this morning.i could wait to try it out.didn,t have much time so i went to that old timber yard up the road and had a bit of a swing and a dig for an hour.picked a small bottle up off the ground and found 2 pennys and an enfield 303 shell and flat round thingy.the ground a around here is rock hard little top soil but heep of clay and rock.the MIGHTY A.P DIGGING TOOL just sliced the ground like butter and this flat version for hard ground and is perfect and i am over the moon about and big thanks A.P and i will allways treasure it.

I was lucky enough to convince him to make one for me as well - more of the trowel style and not flat like yours, but I'm telling you it's worked FANTASTICALLY in every condition I've hunted including some very gravely/rocky new england ground and it looks just like it did when I first got it!!!

Grats on your hunt and I guarantee you're gonna love that tool!

Yes, that Mighty AP is one awesome guy and tool maker!

I also use one of his designs for my coinshooting. After receiving his digger I gave my wife all my old ones for her to use in her garden.

Great finds too!

Looks like a great tool. I like the small bottle you found...does it have writing on the side?

I agree one heck of a nice tool to use.......

Thanks A+++++ :) :) :) :) :) P+++++ :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

How does one get one of those digging tools. I bought an alligator torwel from KellyCO and it's a piece of #$@#. It digs in the soil relatively well, but god forbid you put any pressure on it, it bends like a piece of tin.

I really like that little bottle, too.

Might have to get me one of those digging tools. Looks like it can handle roots.

Hey guys, thanx fer the thumbs up on the tools but I have bad news................on Monday the company I moved from So Cal to work for a year ago gave me & almost the entire plant the axe! They are moving the whole opperation to Chile, jackasses walked in & dropped a bomb! It aint no big deal for me, I always bounce back but there are several guys who just bought brand new houses, one guy just got married & has a kid coming. They made a lot of promises & didnt come through. Best job Ive ever had, realy loved it there, oh well. And they axed me one day before my one year anniversary. lol At any rate, i wont be able to make more tools for a while, Im gonna go in & get my tools & welding gear tomorrow & will grab a bunch of material I use for the tools & hope I get back to work at a place that has tig welders I can use to make em in my spare time. I'll let ya'all know when I can start up again & we'll get everyone fitted up with a diggin tool. ;D

Very sorry to hear about your job AP!! I've been there a couple times myself, but usually had an idea it was coming. On the plus side, I agree that with the attitude you're displaying you'll bounce back bigger and better - not easy to stay positive when crap like that happens, but in the end there's not a thing you can do about it but move. The guys I worked with who had it the worst when there was downsizing were the negative attitude guys - too many of them ended up with drinking problems, marriage problems and other issues because they could never get over the fact that they got "screwed."

Hang in there AP - who knows, maybe this is an opportunity for you to look into starting your own business :)

Hey thanks Paul, it was a huge bomb, nobody had a clue it was coming. They have some kind of program here in Idaho where if your company lets you go & leaves the country you may be eligible to receive reduced pay & free schooling for 2 years. Im thinking computer graphics if Im eligible, find out tomorrow. Ive got possible leads on two welding jobs, freinds have connections, but Im thinking Im just gonna take a month or so off & play on the puter & go detecting. Got a little money in the bank plus unemployment, we'll be alright & I havent had a real vacation in a few years! Gotta stay positive in times like these, this aint my first rodeo.............aint the first time Ive had the rug jerked out from under me! lol ;D
