I found this coin a good month and a half ago at the old colonial woods. Amazing I've hunted there for three years and this is the first colonial I've dug. Sadly, it looks like father time got to her first. I've done my best cleaning with peroxide and even "coin goo" which my friend got from England. Really not much detail came up. The only things I know are that the coin is copper, has a diameter of around 27 mm (which makes it too big for a farthing and too small for a half penny), and there appears to be a shield on one side. What do y'all think?
