The mods just closed the other thread. I typed this and then clicked on "quick reply" and the thread was closed, and his (Eric's) last post was deleted from the thread "baby want a ba ba"
Here is what I typed, copied, and now going to paste:

As I said before, you called people on this forum "IDIOTS", and you continue to use symbols to mask your curse word's whick is also against TN policy according to the mod's. Many people on here who dive and hunt the 1715 beaches are very highly educated. They know what is real - weather it is cobs, escudos, spikes, jewerly, artifacts, and lot's more.
I also did not see one response from any of the real treasure hunters (you spoke of) who work the sites (by boat - with a permit). I can name 7 of them, but I'm not dragging them into this. They would of replied by now.
Thanks for calling us "IDIOTS" and telling us we have????? Hell you can figure it out because you thought it, typed it, and posted it.
I hunt the 1715 beaches all the time, and I have spoke with you in the past on the beach, and in the parking lots. Since I'm considered an idiot in your world, I will turn the other cheek and walk away when I see you.
Take care.

You guys started this whole thing. Thank Gator Boy, Boatlode and Lost Items Recovery, as they perpetuated this whole thing.

I was contacted directly by Treasurenet regarding this entire matter and this was my response:

I am going to do my best to be polite and control myself.

I posted a find that I made. I explained how I found it and included a photo of myself and the item after a thorough cleaning. Because I didn't follow an alleged protocol of taking multiple images of the dig and cleaning process, as well as providing sales receipts and further documentation, it was deemed as counterfeit. The fact that the coin was sold quickly after I found it, was also criticized. This alone is a violation of your policy. I didn't know that there was a mandatory waiting period before liquidating finds.

I was not aware that I was supposed to provide video of the dig / recovery as well as multiple images from every angle as well as my personal electrolysis formula and authentication. I was basically attacked by a small group of individuals named Gator Boy, Boatlode, Tarpon192 and lost items recovery.

When I had finally had enough I lashed out and Treasurenet got involved and locked the thread. Since then 2 additional threads were started by some guy named "Lost Items Recovery" called "Real Reale" and "Baby Want a Ba Ba"

Furthermore, now they are mad because I won't give them the exact location of where I found the coin......like that's going to happen.

I simply found a coin and posted it. I don't understand the hostility or why anyone doubts that a coin from the early 1600's was found on a beach adjacent to a 1618 wreck. Once again, I didn't know that I was supposed to take multiple images before and after cleaning. I didn't know that I needed to have it authenticated. I didn't know that I was supposed to have a better quality photo than my "Crappy Selfie" as termed by Gator Boy. When I was done with the cleaning, I was so excited that I just snapped a couple of quick pics with my ipod. gator Boy feels that being such a monumental find, I should have had far more documentation. maybe this is such a big deal to these guys because they have never really found anything significant, but I have personally seen thousands of these piled one on top of another and know that they are not all that rare ...... It really wasn't an earth shattering event to me.

Both Carl Fismer and Bob Marx saw photos of the coin and had no issues with it or how it was found, but evidently boatlode, lost items recovery, tarpon192 and gator boy, know more than these two experts. Maybe this is why you don't see REAL treasure hunters like Gary Drayton and Andy Babisch on here................to much harassment, hatred and ridicule.

Most of your members responded in a positive fashion, but the response and harassment by these four is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by any forum. These individuals called my find fake and one even went so far as to set up two new threads mocking me. Both of these actions again were direct violations of your policies.

I was warned by some seasoned hunters not to put my find on treasurenet and now I think that I know why. I can assure you that I will NEVER post another find on treasurenet EVER. This is not a forum by ANY means.

Go back and read the original post again, Eric. It was YOU who got defensive and attacked GB by accusing him of having an agenda, when all he did was politely ask for better pics of a very unusual beach find. At that point I commented that GB has found more cobs on the beach than anyone else on this forum, and has no agenda and nothing to prove. Nobody accused you of anything or "attacked" you. As far as I'm concerned, I wish you did find it exactly the way you described, it would give me and everybody else motivation to get out there and keep digging. But unfortunately, it just doesn't pass the smell test for me. The real question I have is why would someone want to deceive a bunch of strangers on an internet website? What is someone like that trying to prove?

I'm sorry you feel like I attacked you, Eric. It is never my intention to do that to anyone. Best of luck to you and happy hunting.

First off IF I would have been alerted at the Beginning this wouldn't have happened.

Secondly Members who make accusations risk being banned.

As do members who use the word idiot.

Neither side is innocent here .

Members do not normally risk attack for posting pics here.
in those rare cases where members are attacked & accused of things,
We would appreciate reports so we can weed out these people.

Jeff

Sometimes an innocuous remark can be blown out of proportion by someone with a chip on his shoulder... Just sayin! :laughing7:

Correct sometimes things do get read into comments.

and I know the natural thing to do is fight your own battles.

but Trust us, Our whole intent is to keep TreasureNet a Friendly Place.
which is not easy to do without our members help.

This is not over yet? Starting to smell like the unfriendly forums in here. This thread in and of itself shows the antagonistic nature of those involved, just had to have the last word. If you don't like someones post, ignore it. Think someones post is fake? Get over it. Like mama always said ... If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.

& with that ....... the Thread is now Locked.

Topic Over !

That means DON'T Start another one on this subject .

No apologies, No arguments..... OVER !!!!

unless you need a month away from treasureNet

& No I am not talking to any particular member :tongue3:
