Hi all.. hope all is well.
I’ve been digging up a new garden patch and putting a bunch of misc rocks to the side for a small fountain... I found this rounded rock that was way heavier than I thought it would be for its size and different from the other stuff I’m finding; but it went In the rock pile and now I’m wondering if this is any type of rock worth splitting? Geodes came to mind but it’s probably too heavy to be one 🤷♀️ . I’m on slightly sloped land so I get a lot of underground water through here with its own natural sand layer... I’m in north central NC and from what I read the only common for my zip code is quartz. Heck I wish it was a gold nugget 😂
I did a quick brush off with some water to better show its grayish green color. I don’t see anything crystal like on the outside but maybe someone here would know more about it from the pics. Thanks for help.
