This is the question. The wife says its going to be rainy all day! I say who cares as long as the lightning isn't mixed in with rain! Maybe I'll leave her in bed and go anyway! Lol

This GT is itching to get on the beach!!!!!!

Well, how did you do?

Good Luck I hope you find a lot of :treasurechest:

Well beach was seeded with paper clips! But no much for the GT! Only got to hunt for 30 min before lightning ran us off beach.

I only threw 2 boxes of 500 it should clear soon!

Thanks Buzz! Started with PI unit but quickly realized I had been had ! It didn't really matter though Mother Nature drove everyone off the beach within half hour. 1 nickel, 2 paper clips, and a couple pull tabs before leaving. Oh we'll maybe another time.

At least you tried, nothing gained wondering about the could've been.
Happy hunting next trip.

The lightening/storms is always an issue over here on this coast this time of year, especially as the day progresses. By the time all that hot inland air drifts this way it's usually already doing battle with the cooler upper atmosphere.

Here in jacksonville I seem to dig more trash than anything. I live 5min from the beach and almost always go to a park or old home site. The beaches here are 90% TRASH AND CLAD COINS!!!!!!!!!!! Correct me if Im wrong.

I'm starting to agree with you! I was north of Jville but all seems to be the same on northern east coast of FL to me. Thanks and HH

Maybe 90% junk and clad, but the other 10% is what? I'd take my chances.

Hmmm! Well using the knowledge on this site I have been at it since FEB 2013 and I hunt Jax beaches. Sure I only have 2 x .925 rings, 2 x .925 pendants, and 1 x watch ($200). But I have a ton of CLAD that in FEB 2014 I will cash in to get a years total.

You can look at my posts and see there is some junk, but it just isn't about the Taquitos! Right now the hunt is hard but man is it fun. Some pics of 4 months of hunting 1 month with an F4 and 3 with the Excal.

Ps some of this is from the Tampa area, but thats only two weekends!:headbang: I have a bunch more bling but my wife keeps it close. :laughing7:

I think there are a few spots "off the beaten path" that could produce some cool finds, (st johns bluff, the real ft caroline, and two we could discuss in private) We should plan a group hunt sometime!
