tips?

Beware of buying from the lowest price. You never get something for nothing.

so ur saying i should.......what?

Hey Young One: Try to buy your Ace 250 from a legitimate Garrett dealer. And, as you will soon learn, the Ace 250 is way underpriced in comparisan to what it will do in the field.

You'll love it and price will soon be forgotten. Good Luck.

thanx....but where the heck would i find a "legitimate garrett dealer" ?!?!?

Dealers have a retail price and then what is known as a dealer discount price. Dealers would like to sell at the former, but because of competition, everyone sells for the latter. Since you like to be clubbed with hard info, dont pay more than $212.00 for it - that's seems to be the current dealer discount price.

You'll want to know exactly where to get it next, right? There are good dealers on ebay, Aardvark and metaldetectors.com come to mind. Here's one to get you started

Look for free shipping and ensure the unit comes with extras: headphones, books, tapes - these all come in the Garrett Package Deals. Some dealers remove these items and sell them separately.

Garrett will steer you to the nearest local dealer, which might actually be close by, if youre lucky. So try their website.

Also, you might want to try Clevengers Detector Sales. Chuck is a reasonable guy and he'll take care of you. He's not the sweetest fellow on earth, preferring to tell it straight. But, he knows what he's doing and he'll see to it you get all the goodies that are coming to you. Call him at:
