Found this today on our permission. Early 1800s site with CW items found. No markings on it. Hollow and it was filled with what looked like charred wood pieces from a fire. It was about 8 inches down ringing high 20s on the Nox. It is 4 Inches long. Tapered.

Thanks!

I would say either a cane or flag pole tip.

Or maybe a chair/stool leg tip.

I’d say a cane tip as well.

Could be an umbrella tip.

Being that long it could be a buggy pole tip?

My first thought was the same as Rook's... umbrella tip.
I had to Google 'buggy pole tip', as I've never heard of this before? :icon_scratch:

With the rolled bottom, I would say a cane tip as well.

Thanks everyone. I am going with the cane tip. It looks as if someone was poking it in a fire and it fell off.
