I believe it's a vial from an injectable medication for livestock of some sort.

I got that far on researching on Google. But I cannot find what type 1 was for.

It's probably just a throw-back to simpler times.

Back then, "1" was probably something easily curable with a shot of penicillin.
Now we're up to "A/Fujian/411/2002 (H3N2)". We're screwed.

Like Pat says, probably insulin. We would give livestock shots for anthrax, Lepto, black leg, etc. --- but they were in larger vials, containing several doses. Back before disposable syringes, insulin came in small, single shot doses. Might still do for all I know, I do know that some meds come in single shot doses in disposable syringes, because I came home from the hospital with some one time not to long ago.

Do an internet search for "insulin bottles" and "old insulin bottles".
Yes, injectable, refridgerated insulin and other meds, still come in those type bottles.
Humalog, Novolog, Novolin, I'm not sure how to date or find out what "exactly" your
bottle "may" have had in it. Would need mfg sales records, or drug mfgs records, idk. :dontknow:

In that time period, according to my elderly Neighbor, there was a large barn not far from where I found this.
