Hello All! I got out today with Shovelnose for about 1.5 hours. We hit a 1920s house for the first time today. There were wheaties everywhere! I got 11 total, 1938 being the oldest. They were almost all on the right side of the yard. I can't believe we didn't pull at least one silver out! Oh well, maybe on another hunt. My favorite find of the day is this TINY brass padlock. It's definitely my smallest lock to date. I assume its from the 30s or 40s, I did find a few online. Shovelnose ended up getting a 1935 buffalo in great shape & 3 wheaties. It's been VERY slow lately, I haven't posted in a while. Looking forward to Fall & cooler weather! Thanks for looking & HH!

I like the little padlock.Nice finds.

Good luck when you go back to finish this yard Josh! I don't know how you are digging in this dry ground. Maybe we will get some rain tomorrow and the ground will get better.

I can't wait to get out of this outage where I can at least "think" about hunting.

Nice! The little padlock might be from a diary. Shouldn't be too hard to pick if you want to see if the mechanism still works.

This yard was dry but the ground wasn't too hard, pretty easy digging. We do need some rain! Some places have been so dry and hard you can't even dig! I'll be glad when you can get out again too!

I was thinking it could've been from a diary or small box. I guess it could have been worn as a necklace as well. I might try to pick it, it's in good shape so it probably still works.

How cool nice finds.
