This is probably some auto or battery thing that I have no clue about so be kind. :D It's small and lead and seems to have some iron running through it. Has a ridge that seems like a thumb grip?

I don't think the W.S can mean "water service" or the like since it was found on my front yard and there is no public water here.

Thanks muchly!

I have found that exact same seal in a backyard, near the utility hookups, so while it may NOT mean water service, I am pretty sure it is a utility seal.

Now you come to mention it Spooky, I think you are right. The gas meters over here had something similar, I'm not sure if they still do but I'm not going to wake the house up to find out ;D.

(lower LH corner)
I had a lead seal like this on my electric meter. It was put on in the 60's. They have been around for a while. Also used by railroads.

Just use a cigarette lighter so you can read it in the dark..

:laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9:. I think that might wake up more than just my house :tongue3:.
