Today I went MDing in a local park. I found a handful of clad...some pretty rocks...and THIS. I initially thought that it was a rock that was setting off my detector for some reason. Upon closer inspection it was a little hand carved "laughing buddha" statue! It is made of a silver colored metal that is NON-magnetic. I'm guessing lead or silver. It was throwing my detector a mixed signal. The bottom has what looks like a symbol stamped into it, but it could just be damage or something. The bottom also has fine lines in it like it was filed flat or run accross sandpaper. It weighs exactly 10.2 grams. Does anyone know what the age/origin of this thing might be, or it's metal composition? Thanks!
