XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Spent 4 hours with Dad on the Wheat Stubble field I got the Celtic Silver last Sunday(fog day). The conditions are bad with the grass tuffs at nearly 3ft high because of mild & damp conditions :tongue3: So to get what we did was a pleasing result;

10 Roman Coins
Livery Button :)
18th C Tombac with rose
Roman Lead Steelyard Weight
Jetton

Hammered Farthing Ed III circa 1340.

This has been by far my best year for tiny hammered :headbang:

11" coil at its best :icon_thumright: It will be hard to upgrade whilst I get the performance I do from this machine :coffee2:

Agreed that big button is awesome as is the very old and tiny 1/4 P.
(Humm Linux doesn't print special characters with atl codes.)

Nice stuff.

3 foot grass = no fun. Well unless you're finding 700 yaer odl silver that is.

wow that hammered is tiny for sure... what an awesome find. congrats! :headbang: :headbang:

Thankfully the long grass was in patches & tuffs, so we could work throw them(around them), but the Wheat stubble is pretty much all over 7inches, so had to knock it down as we went.

So who found what? You gonna claim it all. ;D

Daryl
We are a team & it doesn't matter but as you asked, I will spell it all out for you;

I would never claim I found it all (unless I did & was asked), only that I keep it all (as Dad is helping my hobby & collection), this is what I had:

11 of the 12 buttons fell to me (including the 4 good ones)
Everything in picture 3 except the small piece of furniture decor (top right)
Every bit of buckle in picture 4
Every coin & Jetton including the 10 Roman Coins except the Charles II Farthing
Of course I got the hammered as well.
1 bit of Roman Pot Shard each

So to sum it up Dad found 1 bit of furniture decor, 1 button,Roman Pot Shard, & 1 coin.

Any other questions ;D

Maybe you didn't read that conditions were tough, near impossible for the Cortes. I hope you feel better embarrassing Cru'Dad. :tongue3: :D

His behind the scenes efforts are beyond that of any other detectorist I know. If he does 500 hours a year detecting, he will have spent nearly 1000 hours recording, logging, & map production. That is the secret to more land, we get recommended by Leading Archaeologist (TV types  ) to farmers as the best they have met. The credit is spread evenly between, my hunting & identification skills, Dads logging, & Land-Mags research/resource efforts (plus permission/contract work). Its about the Team, not who got what.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY from me too! :hello: Do You had a drink or two?

You made yourself some nice gifts! You livery button is a beaut and the little hammered shows everyone who builds good detectors!
Had a good day yesterday too. :laughing7: Will post later when i cleaned up a little....

Yeap, we have a great machine alright.
I did do better than expected on my B/D & that was prezzie enough. It's a tough time of year & the 10 Roman Coins I had, doubled this months total.

Look forward to your post. :icon_thumright:

Best birthday wishes :D
congrats on your finds :o
Hats off to the Team for all the great work you accomplish :notworthy:
So much more than 'Treasure Hunting'
Some are, some aren't, I don't care for the term myself.
(though I have sold a dug artifact)
Great digs!
