we have those around my place to. Hope someone has an answer. would love to know what they are

The "dots" or whatever, small bumps, not only cover but are the rock. Would love to know what this is too! :) Let me know if you find out! :icon_thumright:

What you have is a piece of oolitic limestone. It is formed in a warm water marine environment. Probably when Texas was a shallow marine embayment eons ago. If you break it open you will probably see that it is solid oolites.

google oolitic limestone and you will see photos of exactly the same rock that you have.
