Tiny belt tongue?

Found this thin sheet brass doodad and not sure what it's purpose was.

This sure does look like the tongue portion of a very small two-piece, stamped-brass buckle. You should PM Tnet member kuger and ask him to take a look at this one. He is very knowledgeable about this style of buckle.

Looks like part of a buckle from an overshoe.

Although I have not seen that very character on the center disc,that does appear to be a tongue portion of a ladies buckle
