Tiny badge attachment ??

I forgot to take a pic of the back....but it definitely looks like it was attached to something on the back.

Enlarge the pic to see the crown at top of it...there is something written at the bottom of it also..but not 100% sure.

Without being to read it, I have no where to start.... because I don't know modern military too well, and that's what it is. Probably World War era.

I agree with IP WW era. Not saying exact match here but is very similar looking to say this

This one looks like crap found in a fire pit, I think, but very sililar shape, if you were able to read anything on it I think you'd get a pos. on this one.

Many similarities there.

Will look it over tomorrow before we go out for another hunt....see if I can make out anything at all for writing.

When you say it attached from the back, did it have a pin on the reverse side and a loop to attach a small thin chain? Until you can get a real clear picture of the front and reverse my guess is either a guard for a fraternity or school pin.
