well its been awhile since i posted..been out 4 times since my last post doing testing on garbzook and modifying its setup..i have now reverted to 2 rows of 1/8" holes per tube and changed to 1/2" grizzlies instead of 1/4" , this has improved the trap by not scouring out the back when running steep therefore keeping more fines (i should have not tried to improve goodguy's design...sorry) .on Tuesday i put in a good effort cleaning out 2 natural bedrock riffles across the creek both were hard packed with fines, coarse sand and stones.. took all day to get about 8 x5 g buckets cleaned out the zook 2 times and panned down cons a bit to bring home got about 1/2 g to do and will get pics posted...whilst doing my second pan from the first cleanout this appeared ....my very first picker..yeeehaaaa
