Re: time to dig in that 100+ year old 49'ers rock pile

OH you dirty DOG LOL you got some serious equipment to help I wondered how much you were getting into this and how you were getting down under those tailing piles, NICE OPERATION I AM TOTALLY JEALOUS :tongue3:

Re: time to dig in that 100+ year old 49'ers rock pile

This is the time of year that I get really jealous of you guys in California. We've been fighting a cold snap here for the last several days.

What do you consider a cold snap? We get cold at 60 degrees... We used to dregde while it was snowing, now we are chickens.

When it goes from 60's and 70's down to teen's and 20's, thats a cold snap. I'm a transplanted Californian, so I'll never get used to the cold in Colorado.

Nice set up you have there. Is that 5 separate sluice boxes that you are using?
On a clean up do you see most of the heavies in the first box or all the way down.
Does the punch plate at the top section of the sluice help?

Re: time to dig in that 100+ year old 49'ers rock pile

OK...we have seen the shots of the cool site....shots of enough mining equipment to keep us drooling for weeks...shots of you at work...and a shot of the dog. When do we get to see a shot of the results from cleaning out that daisy chain of sluice boxes?....Let's see the GOLD!

P.S. I am soooo envious!
