Heck..no Coinstar needed here...or even a metal detector !...lol. So if you're in a silver drought, simply roll through Tim Horton's, this is the second time I've been a recipient of their generosity. Last winter, I ordered my usual...large triple triple.... $1.90 please!...handed the nice girl 2 crisp dollars bills, and got my dime change back. Now I KNOW all you out there eyeball your change for silver...well, it had that...glimmer, sho-nuf! 1954 Rosie! So today, same routine, and received this awesome, dime-sized unit...one-tenth troy ounce. 999 silver...thx for looking...ddf

Very nice silver coin! :occasion14:

Is that a store promo, or somebody's spending their collection?

Nice recovery. Worth quite a bit more than a dime.

Msbeep...I got it back in change, definitely not a promo! Appears someone split up a collector set and spent it as a dime, as it is dime-sized and looks like one without looking close at it. Thx, ddf

So let's see you got $2 worth of silver in change so either way you cut it you managed a free coffee good deal.

Nice find!

I have some tubes of these .999 1/4 rounds that I bought a few years ago, but I think mine are from the golden state mint.

Hey DDF, That's a sweet little silver. I would be thrilled to get on those.

Congrats.

There seems to be alot of coin collections being spent lately....i'm wait'n for the gold coins to be handed back as change! :D

That's awesome Eastcoast, I'm a silver hoarder myself...when it's low I buy silver dimes and quarters from the Heritage Trading Post, always nice to have a couple hundred ounces stashed away for a rainy day...ddf
