ok just bought a used tiger shark anyone else use this machine im curious about how to ground balance the tiger shark when im diving in the water and how do you set your settings when you first turn it on, i get a little chatter is that normal and when i plug my coil plug into the control box do i need to use a sealant

Call Rusty Henry at the factory in Prescott, and ask him to walk you through it 1-928-771-2646 - Big Gold!

If you bought a new Tiger Shark you'd have gotten a tub of Silicone Grease to add to the O ring and connector. Also clean out the coil cover.

Open up unit with headphones on and set threshold to a hum close it back and set disc to 0 and switch to AM
Mode and pump it up and down until there is little difference between up and down pumps, then switch to disc at 2.5 and see how it responses if it chattery just open it back up and slightly bring down the sens and off you go . There should be little difference in GB adjustment when the next time you hunt, maybe alittle but not much, acman Tim

You can call me and I will send you silicone and O-ring for free. A/CMan is spot on.
You can ground balance to the water if that is where you are hunting. Just remember, when you pump the coil, if it sounds off as your going to the water or ground, that is a positive ground and you need to turn your knob counter clockwise. If it sounds as you are pulling away, that is a negative ground and you need to turn it clockwise. I hope this helps and you can call me anytime with question.

only problem i had today is it would not discriminate out iron i still was getting a clear signal on iron caps ,nails and small trash

If the iron is rusty the detector sees it as a more conductive signal. This happens with all detectors.
