I got a call from one of my neighbors on Friday. They were at a local beach (inside a harbor) and someone next to them visiting from Seattle lost a wedding band out in chest high water. They asked if I still did detecting because the guy was almost in tears after losing the ring. I told her I would come to look for it at low tide in the morning (it was high tide at that time). Went out and found the ring in about 5 min the next morning in waist high water with my Whites PI machine. 15.1 gram Tiffany Plat mens ring.
Called them and met up with them this morning at a Starbucks. Needless to say, HE was extremely happy for the returned ring. Just couldn't believe it could be found. They gave me a thank you card which I didn't open til I got home. Very nice card + $100. I didn't ask for any money- never do,but is always nice.
