I went to an auction over the weekend. They had a box of misc items(pins, button, broken chains, ect). No one bid on it so the auctioneer said it's free to anyone who wants it. I was planning on getting a testing kit in the near future(found one of these for $8 btw) so I figured I would grab it and check it out. I ended up finding 1.3 ounces of misc scrap silver. I also found this in the bottom of the box. I cant seem to find any info on it. I found a similar listing RARE Tiffany Co Picasso Modern Silver Heart Ring with Box Pouch Retired | eBay but that says Paloma Picasso Tiffany & Co on the inside and mine says 2007 Tiffany and Co. Mine also has gold colored hearts, the picture appears to be silver all over. Any ideas on if this is authentic or not? 2014-02-11 01.39.41.webp2014-02-11 01.39.52.webp2014-02-11 01.39.58.webp2014-02-11 01.40.04.webp

Thanks for sharing...

Do you have a Tiffany store near you? A friend gave me two Tiffany pieces to auction for her on Ebay. I took them to a friend who runs a consignment shop. She said they didn't look real, and suggested I stop by the Tiffany store where they could say for sure. When I was at the jeweler, he looked at them very carefully, and said, no, they are not real. Make sure they are real before you try to sell them. Some of the fakes look sooo real. The ones I have even have a bag and everything.

I came across a Tiffany ring, sold it for like 100 on the bay, guy gets it, brings it to be polished, the guy tells him its a fake, and now he wants his money back. Told him to ship it to me, this was 3 weeks ago.... lol.

I really hope yours is real. That would be an awesome find. 100% profit; can't beat that!

(Does anyone know where you sell faux Tiffany without getting into trouble?)

True! And I hope it was real.. I sold it on Craigslist for $80. Were leaving on vacation on Saturday so I figured anything extra funds would be nice.

Well you sold it quick for 100% profit. Odds are if it wasn't real, no one will ever know. Perception is everything. You thought it was real, sold it as real, they think its real. I'm sure they are happy with it so it all works out.

Well you sold it quick for 100% profit.

Not to be nitpicky, but 100% profit would be if he paid $40 for the ring. He got it for free, so the profit margin is incalculable (you can't divide by 0).

Congrats on the quick sale bubba.

Congrats on the quick sale bubba.

I mean that 100% of the sale was profit; as in he had no investment in the item. Not that he had a 100% ROI.
