Nice Tiffany find, Fred; I also like the ring ...style & stone;

Would love to see the ring cleaned and shined if you do so.

Your bummer wasn't as bad as my bummer, but, there still bummers! :censored:

My name is Detectorist ______ ______ (Joe Friday)
I and my dedicated partners ( ____ ____) detect on the beach near your city.
Our coordinated grid net clears trash from the beach, the usual suspects being
bottle caps, pull tabs, rusty nails, and shredded alumimum cans, while filling in
our holes and other holes on the beach so that no one even knows we have been there.

Most of what we find is boring and the work can be drudgery, but well
worth the effort, when we apprehend something, that links us back to our past, help others,
or is something of value which we can display/share or at least justify our efforts
- so we can continue detecting.

There is danger and heroism in detecting.
We are often cut or step upon sharp objects left by fellow man.
While things with teeth or stingers are sensationalized by the media.
Driving to the beach, being cut, drowning and fellow man
(criminals, and disturbed individuals ) are our greater danger.
Especially, since many of us detect alone at night on dimly lit or secluded
beaches

LOW gold is much better than NO gold. It might not have doubled your retirement fund, but fun to find and not one I would throw back.. HH, Beach Papa
