Thursday finds. Original Haller and 100 yr old dumbbells...

Working this weekend, so I hit in-house auction Thursday to get my kicks. Got this... Original Haller 4 wick kerosene stove. Porcelain on steel. Near perfect condition. Looks unused. $35 These 1 pound dumbbells are at least 100 years old I think. Narragansett Machine Co. $4 Before the auction I hit a local church thrift and bought this photo album for $10. Lady at the thrift said it was prisoner art and knew the girl who made it. This was done with toothpicks or toothpick sized skewers. The work is very well done and I can't even think about the hours it took to do this. It is a truly beautiful piece of work that I don't even know where to start with a value. Measures 8x10 and is perfect in every way. What do ya'll think? HH All!

I LOVE those dumbbells! Super cool. For $4 I would have grabbed those in a flash. It looks like they are made of wood. Is there a metal core?

Nice finds! That prisoner art is very cool. A big on the stove. Your dumbells are shown in a 1905 catalog for gymnastic equipment on page 76 here, they were .50 a pair back then- https://archive.org/stream/catalogueofgymna00narrrich#page/76/mode/2up
