This one piece I think is really really old but I'm having trouble finding the maker. They had a bunch of bags come out today all miscellaneous stuff I bought two of them for a total of $6. Mainly at the store you find plated stuff. Sometimes silver but today was silver in with the plated. Here is the one that looks super old- v. Winchell. I think it's coin silver.

Is this all silver?

All but the last two pics. I found out I got silver plate ice cream spoons and Citrus spoons.

The photo with eight pieces are the silver ones

Couple month ago I was looking at the utensils and they had mixed plastic bags of older silver plate.I think the bags were like 9.99 each. In one I could see one odd to the others sterling spoon. I took it out of the bag and of course it's not priced. I went to check out with a couple other items and handed the spoon and said this spoon isn't priced. She looked at it and said all miscellaneous forks and spoons are 75¢ each. I said oh, well that's not much so I'll take for that. Should I have felt bad for doing that ???

Guess now you know! Our store here would put it back! Like they take the whole bag away and put it in the back room to be repriced and re-bag. So you would get nothing. If the price tag falls off you can't buy it. there was a really nice vintage Tommy Hilfiger shirt on time with no price tag. I asked about it and they took it and put it in the back room. I went back there 2 days later was back on the shelf for $.99.

Nice thank you, any idea what it might be worth? There is a monogram on it though but do they have a lot of value over scrap?

It looks like a teaspoon so those in this area retail in antique shops for $20-30 each. Sometimes I see them for $40 and sometimes I see them for $15, but they might be in exceptional condition and a significant maker for the higher end.

Coin silver prices depend on the maker & your area if you are selling local. I've got several pieces I put up when silver was high because they didn't have a premium over melt. With lower silver prices I would imagine they would sell for more than current melt......but that's still less than what I'd take for them.

I love finding coin silver. It's only 2-3% less purity than sterling and generally much older. A lot of early American silver is coin purity.

A darn good bag I got- 4 ice cream spoons auctioned for $56! I have a couple more to get up to I just have to get around to cleaning them or polishing them first.

Those creepy looking spoons see citrus,or grapefruit utensils .nice score!
