I found this yesterday and have Googled my butt off looking for this symbol. If anyone knows what this stood for I would love to know. Thanks for looking folks.
This came from a Colonial home site with mostly flat buttons and other period items.

Looks like an early automobile logo pin, originally enameled... Just a guess.

That was my first thought also benz. Either toy truck, real, or even an old tractor emblem. When I got home and cleaned it up a little, I can see the back had a pin to stick to your shirt. get-attachment.aspxe.webp

Looks more like a horseshoe than a serpent to me.

Breezie is correct again, I think at least.
I think I can see two intertwined "C"s in the earlier than 19th century, monogram fashion, a tall one and a wide one.
I rotated the pic to show what I see.
Maybe this was a commisioned CTC pin or a pre-CTC pin?...

Thanks folks. I believe Breezie and everyone else are right as to it being Cycling related. I guess it is possible this was an early issue pin. Great work Yax on the rotation too.
