My mom drove down for a week to see her grandson for the first time and wanted to see where I go to detect. I took her and my daughter out and hoped to find something to impress so I was fired up when I pulled the 1900 barber. Than not 15 feet away I found a nice 1939 Merc.
October 3
Took my son after school for a 4 hour hunt to the same park. I wasn't finding anything up until it began getting dark and we started making are way back to the car when I got the best high tone of the evening. Dug down and couldn't believe my luck when I pulled out my first washington quarter (1950D)!
October 8
Yesterday I went out with low hopes of finding any more silver. I just couldn't see myself getting that lucky to go three hunts in a row finding the white stuff. Well God was kind on me that day as I surpassed my previous streak of two with three silvers! As a bonus, to add to the already stellar day I found a 1999 Susan B. Anthony dollar (also a first). I don't know what's going on here but I hope this streak can continue up until the hard packed ground of winter forces me to quit (than ill just have to hunt the woods lol).
