Found a neighborhood being turned into a park. Was digging for 10 minutes when I hear siren, plain clothes police officers with badges and sidearms stop me. Ask me what I'm doing. I said I was metal detecting my new secret honey hole and don't tell anyone about it. One said I wouldn't find anything because he had been digging here for over three months. He asked if I had found anything, I showed him the man's ring, I had dug it in the first 10 minutes. I guess they just wanted to mess with me. I asked if I was allowed to be there and he said it was a new Park, so yes. Another hour later I had found a 1919 wheatie, 1944 merc, and another ring with sterling written inside. And my first and only keeper bottle cap. Great day . Thanks for looking guys.
