Relic Hunting
Had another nice little hunt. This again included some nice old
Coppers with a bonus silver coin.
The first copper is Ships, colonies and commerce 1/2 penny (1835).
The inscription refers to the famous statement made by Napoleon in 1811 that ships, colonies and commerce were the three British advantages that would defeat him in the end.
An 1894 Newfoundland penny was unexpected.
Ended the hunt with a King Edward 1902 quarter.
