Went out with my buddy KY PI on Saturday to a couple spots he had lined up for us. One is an old house that also had some Civil War activity. Pulled out the 1927 Walking Liberty quarter and two musket balls from this spot. At another old home site found two mercury dimes and a wheat penny. After my months long silver drought, I have pulled out seven silver coins the last few weeks, with six of them being dimes. Thanks for looking!

great finds. any standing liberty is an awesome find

Awesome silver!

nice finds! That quarter is actually called a "Standing Liberty Quarter." A "Walking Liberty" is a half dollar. Congrats!

Nice silvers!

Sweet silver finds!

Thanks for the replys everyone. 68GTO, I know they are musket balls because I have found several in the past and know what to look for. They were also found in an area where other Civil War artifacts were found. Testing 123, you are right its a Standing Liberty; I get it mixed up at times. Thanks.

Oh ok thanks for the reply Mason. I was just curious cause I find things I can't ID and get curious

No problem 68gtofinder. The things I look for when determining if its a musket ball is the patch mark and drip mark on them. Now I say these are from the Civil War because I found them where Civil War artifacts were found. However they could simply have been dropped by a 19th century hunter, but I like to think they are Civil War!

Lol. I'm with 68gtofinder, I would have had NO idea what that was. I probably would have sent it flying.
