Had to visit the cardiologist yesterday, so was off work (but I get to work Saturday to make up for it ... so much for "salaried employee".

By the way, she said I do have a heart despite what you may have heard about me.

Before I left home though, I took a few pics ... here's two of my favorites:

The first is a seed pod from some of the day lillys I posted a while back. Liked this one as it was gold and looked like a "Fleur de lis" --- which all Saints fans like

The next one is a macro shot of one of those small red berries that I get all around my place. They look similar to tiny strawberries, but I don't think they're edible. The funny thing is that while this one didn't "fill out" it reveals that all the little red bumps kinda look like tiny raspberries.

Kinda got hooked on http://www.500px.com (user ccjr221) and have been uploading a few images there - full size images up to 20 megapixels - lately so haven't been here too much except to read.

I always liked the Fleur de lis. Even though I'm not of French descent. It does look a little like it. Very cool.

That looks similar to the wild strawberries that we have here. Leaves definitely look like strawberry.

Hope everything went well at the cardiologist.

you do realize that a cardiologist is not about poker?

Now wait a doggoned minute Jeff! I didn't poke anyone! :dontknow:

I didn't push, pull or even peek.

I really like the depth of field on that pod.:icon_thumleft:

I see that flower that looks like a reverse strawberry and a white strawberry that tastes like pineapple a bit of a humorous creation on HIS part.

GOD Bless

Thanks Chris ... but now you got me and my daughter discussing trying to grow some next year!

Well, we've been growing strawberries for the birds for years (they get them before they're really ready to pick) but this year found a way to grow them "vertically" where the birds have nowhere to land and take them ... thought we might try that inverted strawberry.

Good pics and hope your visit went ok. You do know, all 'salaried' means is, 'We ain't gotta pay you overtime!' haha!
