Three Brothers Shipwreck

I am looking for info on a shipwreck the three brothers. A Sloop 20 tons a British Navy Payroll Ship wrecked 1775 on the Delaware cost . Any info would be helpful.

dbrick, If I remember correctly, back in the 1960's a salvage company worked the area just off the beach above Indian River Inlet and there were pictures in the paper or a magazine showing some of the coins they brought up. The coins were English, but I don't remember the name of the wreck.a

Sometime during or shortly after 1775. English sloop Three Brothers, 20-tons, Captain Loring, wrecked just off the coast of Delaware, probably against a bar near the old Indian River Inlet. According the Treasure Diver’s Guide by John S. Potter Jr., nearby is “Coin Beach” where both copper and gold coins have been found along the shore. The copper coins come from the wreck of the Faithful Steward, wrecked ten years later, but one gold coin, a beautiful rose guinea dated 1775 and bearing the likeness of King George III probably came from the wreck of the Three Brothers.
