Yesterday's hunt was great, and was I ever tired! I was surprised to see that it wasn't raining yet. I had some chores to do, and when they were done, I started getting the fever again. ;D Due to my schedule, today is my last day to hunt here for a week or so. Watercolor was busy, and I was just pacing.

I talked to Twistidd on the phone, and he was just heading home from a park hunt where he found a tiny silver heart. That did it! I just had to get out! I swung over to a local school to hunt the turf. This is a spot where I found only one silver coin last year - a 40's Merc and it had been only an inch down. Figuring the land might be fill, I decided to try for deeper coin sounds there. By this time the wind was picking up and the temp was dropping. I only stayed an hour, got a little clad, a Chuck E. Cheese token from '97, and what I thought was another snake ring.

It turned out to be a sterling silver dragon ring that weighs about 1/10 ounce. It has a lot of detail on it and is kind of cool, so I thought I'd post a pic. After a day in the muddy woods, it was good to hit a little turf for a change. Thanks for the motivation, Joe! I hope you all get out this week after it warms up again! HH all!!

1/10th of an ounce, that's right around a nickel bag, right?

Sweet ring!

As of late, you have definitely become the Wizard of Rings ;D I can hardly wait to see the next one you find. . . :o

Wow, Awexome ring Neil! That's quite a collection you are starting to build there ;)

Awesome Chinese dragon ring bud!!!! You are the "Ring Master"!!!!

Neil,

I'm glad to have motivated you! Yeah, I had just left a ballfield, an environment I don't get to that often anymore. As strange as it might seem, I kinda missed cutting the plugs in the clean sod. I have been mucking in the woods almost exclusively (except for the hot summer months, yet even then I made occasional suicidal forays into the woods), and I love and prefer that, but it was just nice to get back to my roots (no pun intended!)...

You are definitely T-Net's Lord of the Rings. One ring to rule them all...
