I went out-of-town the other day and checked some banks

When I asked for halves, the teller asked if I wanted the old silver dollars too, of course I said yes and she said that some old man had come in the day before and turned in a bunch of coins ans that he told her that he had been collection sense WWI. I felt my heart rate go up and visions of barbers and Morgans flew threw my head.

she came back out with an envelope that had "15 silver dollars" written on it and 7 hand rolls.

the 15 were Ike's, and the rolls only had 2 68s. I thought maybe I was going to impress even LJ on this one

Sounds like the teller was stringing you along. Doesn't sound like a 94 year old collection. She might have a few more envelopes in the back that says the same thing.

Have a friend go in to her in a few days, if he gets the same story and IKES you just found a new DUMP BANK

Problem is if I were a teller and a CRHer I would probably do the same thing.
(this is my territory & I am marking it! I have always been accused of having a different sense of humor, or can't you tell)

I've also had teller refer to the Ikes as silver dollars. I usually think they are going to hand me Ikes, and they do. I'll gladly take them. I think my jaw would drop if a teller ever handed me a Peace or Morgan dollar. lol Congrats on the silver today.
