"Those Aren't Silver!"

That's what the bank teller said. ;D
I stopped at a new bank to get some halves. While she went into the vault to get $100 in halves, I quickly scanned her loose coins. She had at least a roll and a half of halves loose. I told her I'd take all her loose halves too, but she said no, I need them for my customers. OK, But can I have the last three at the bottom?. She picks them up and says, "Those aren't silver, they're '66, '67 and '69. I'll take them anyway. ;D In the $100 rolled, I pulled two more 40% and my first 2003D and 2005P. I also got a 2001D, is this also a keeper? My best CRH yet.
BTW, there were at least two more 40% in her loose coins. I didn't want to be greedy and pick out the light colored ones. But I wanted to reach right over and take them. ::)

2001-Ds were circulated but according to The Official Redbook, the 2001-Ps were uncirculated. Anything 2002 and after are also uncirculated.

In cases like those I usually offer to trade their halves for my "known to be all clad" rolls, etc. It's worked everytime.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an extra roll in my vehicle from now on.

Actually all coins are uncirculated when minted, then become circulated when they go into circulation. I believe the term is the ones from 2002 on were not intended for general circulation.

I prefer "Not Issued For Circulation" or NIFC
