Hey 'Batts- nice digs!! As you know, I'm still waiting for my first buff and war nickels.....having fun digging TONS of foil and pulltabs in the meantime..... :tongue3:

Sweet finds Tim, good to see more than the reeded edge of that Barber dime. I am fiending for a Barber dime, been a very long time.

Paul, if you are looking for buffs and wars, then you need to check out the camp in the fall. I can almost gaurantee you will find at least one of either on any given day there, no matter what detector you're using. I found some war nickels there with the Ace, and altogether tons of buffs and war nickels (27 war nickels alone during 2008). Still plenty there!

I might take you up on that too, Joe. Still only one stinking war nickel in three years. :-\

I went years without one after my first several came out of the ground. Then it's one followed by none for a year or five then another..... So I'm guessing you gotta go where they were. Sounds like you're on the spot Joe!

Neil, let's go in October!!! Or as soon as that area is accessible. I wouldn't mind a blast from the past. You might even pull a silver dime or two as well. I never did too well in the field there with silver other than wars. But I know plenty who have. With the Etrac, who knows???

Tim, you should come out too!

I dunno Joe, in today's world it sounds easy enough, but you know, there's still family and friends to consider. Maybe we should go to the camp and hunt for nickels instead.

Still getting stuff in the street work huh? I'll have to try to make it out there again soon.

As long as we aren't hunting for nickels in California.
