Weather was generally terrible this week, 50 mph winds one day, 4" snow the next, but was able to get out enough for a handful of finds.
Nickels around here come out with a pretty heavy crud, so I do a quick rub above the dome.
When I see a "P" I smile, actually 2 identical War nickels this week, silvers 8 & 9 FTY.
Here is the handful.
I like finding these old vending machine tokens, usually helps with researching the site.
My favorite this week is the pair of un-identified "Calvary" lead soldiers
Here is a pic of a typical site in the old park woods.
Good luck this weekend, I'll be doing some night detecting (dry sand) around Cocoa Beach this weekend!
