Well I stepped it up a little bit this week, trying to get more AG in my stash! It didnt work for this week though, I started a new bank, ordered 8 boxes from 2 branches, and not a single piece of silver in the batch of 8. As soon as the first bank brought out my order, I knew they were all skunks, as I have searched those boxes before, upto 40 without any silver. UGHHH!!

Well heres my total for 29 boxes(21 of my normal producing boxes): (1) 90%, and (18) 40%.

Pretty dissapointing for me. The bulk of my scores came from 2 boxes, 1 box had (8) 40%, another box had (6) 40%. So that leaves like 20 skunked boxes this week... ouch! lol

HH all. Hope next week is better!

Hey Info, I was in the same boat there for a while, I slowed it down, having 30 skunks outta 32 boxes was killing me, went down to 24 boxes and was having 22 of them skunks, went down to 18 a week now and really not any better ( this week did have a lot of boxes with just one 40 in them though) but, less to dump for sure, this weeks 18 gave me 15 40's and 1 90, don't feel bad, I took it on the chin too this week. HH, Maverick.

11 boxes so far this week and only 2 90%. Hoping the 8 boxes I have to pick up today produce.

If it keeps up like this I may just do 4 boxes a week and buy 40% for under spot. Might come out the same in saved time and fuel. :dontknow:

How could you tell immediately the 8 boxes the teller brought out would be skunks?

They had a code stamped on them, orange ink flat boxes... I dont know what provider they come from, but I did lots of them when I first started hunting halves and always got skunked, every week. But they were from a different bank... there isnt even much marked coins in these boxes either, not like my usual source.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I also had a broken box, which came up 20$ short at the dump machine... I didnt take notice when I opened it if it was short or not, as ive never been shorted at all... except foreign coins, and a quarter instead of a half.

So yeah also lost 20 bucks this week too... ah well stuff happens

I'm at a 1000 dollar loss this week, plus a bowl from Turkey(sentimental value) and my old military flight helmet bag (sentimental value), since my apartment was broken into. Good thing common criminals are morons because the only silver coin they got was a 40% silver Ike. Funny part to me is that it took 2 of them to kick my door in and had to kick it off its hinges, amazing what 4 inch screws will do instead of 2 inch ones (If there is a next time they won't kick it in because i will fully fortify it). Sadly my money will be lost i'm sure, but the motion detection cameras i put up pointing towards my front door and one out my front window allowed me to give excellent pictures to the police of the burglars and their vehicle make/model and license plate when they backed into the parking spots in front of my building.

Wow that sucks bro!!

Did they grab 1k in cash or what?

Are you insured?

Yeah they grabbed some loose halves that i pick up from random banks and keep to replace silvers to keep my boxes square, that way its easy to spot a shorted bag from coinlok dumps. Also i just happened to pick up some random quarters, dimes, nickels the day before from a local credit union. Searched the quarters already and nada, but who knows on the other ones hehe. Too bad Hamurabbi's Law doesn't still apply to theives, it would be a short learning curve for them when they get hands chopped off with both times they try it.

Yes palidin20603 i have renters insurance but it isn't worth turning in a claim since cash is only covered up to 300 dollars and the other 2 items are petty in price, so wouldn't be worth it with a 250 dollar deductible.

erased... duplicate post

They are from Dunbar.

Also, sorry to hear about your bad run of boxes. Seems like everyone around us are also doing bad.
