Well I finaly got back in the water, it took a while due to other things like weather and Grandpa duties but what the heck you have to keep things in ballance.
The four of us got up a few nice pieces including a belt with a snake buckle(Dwayne's). I posted this up on the "Todays finds" so I could get a little more info on it. What we can figure is it is an 1860s piece most likely British but seeing how we had Confederate blockade runners visited our port from time to time during the CW it could have belonged to a Confederate soldier, I guess we will never know.
We also got a few other nice items like the ink well and some colbalts. My finds include Canadian Armed Forces dinner plate, (not an old piece but might be collectable in a 100 years)
an "J.C.ENO'S" bottle and a nice clay pipe bowl with the Isle of Man symbol on it.
Water is warming up, now 37*F.
